The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Jong closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

De Jong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fredriksson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time De Jong.
Fredriksson is looking to escape.
De Jong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

De Jong is working for a kimura here but Fredriksson manages to reverse the position and he's now in De Jong's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

De Jong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fredriksson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fredriksson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fredriksson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dolph Fredriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fredriksson digs a good hook to De Jong's body.
De Jong is breathing heavily.

The fighters circling - Fredriksson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Fredriksson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but De Jong circles away quickly and effectively.

De Jong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
De Jong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fredriksson drops his shoulder and cracks De Jong with a huge uppercut! De Jong goes down! Can Fredriksson finish him?

Fredriksson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
De Jong seems to have got his legs back now.
Fredriksson is stalling in the full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! De Jong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

De Jong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
De Jong keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fredriksson.
De Jong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fredriksson's waist but Fredriksson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Jong off to one side.
Fredriksson stuffs the takedown attempt from De Jong. De Jong gets slowly back to his feet.
No joy there for De Jong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Fredriksson does it's job there.
Fredriksson throws a hook to the side of De Jong's head but De Jong sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
De Jong shoots for a takedown but Fredriksson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fredriksson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fredriksson thuds a left hand into De Jong's body.

De Jong ducks right into an uppercut from Fredriksson.

Fredriksson throws a jab but it's blocked by De Jong.
Fredriksson fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops De Jong to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! De Jong looks to clinch but Fredriksson throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! De Jong taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
