Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hobert Vance (ranked 4829 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyosuke Shibaraki (ranked 4115 p4p, 0 weight class). Shibaraki has chosen SAVAGE 101 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shibaraki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vance!
Shibaraki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vance keeps working.
Vance tries to buck Shibaraki off but Shibaraki is having none of it.
Shibaraki is staying tight to Vance's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Shibaraki tries to move to full mount but Vance actually manages to regain half guard.
Vance is looking for a sweep. Shibaraki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shibaraki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vance quickly recovers to half guard.

Vance manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Shibaraki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vance's guard.

Vance has control of Shibaraki's left arm, preventing Shibaraki from doing any damage.

Shibaraki breaks from the clinch.
Shibaraki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Shibaraki decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Vance kicks off Shibaraki and gets to his feet.
Vance takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Shibaraki throws a series of punches but Vance moves out of range.

and Vance counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A close round but Kyosuke Shibaraki will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vance gets caught flat footed, as Shibaraki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vance throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Vance controls Shibaraki momentarily but Shibaraki frees himself.

Hobert Vance overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shibaraki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vance looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
