Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Maddox with that takedown attempt.
Maddox wants to clinch.
Maddox moves in looking to clinch but Sohlberg pushes him off.
Sohlberg tries to counter by closing the distance.
Maddox shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maddox takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Sohlberg counters with a straight right hand.
Maddox tries for a takedown but Sohlberg circles away easily
and Sohlberg connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Sohlberg counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Sohlberg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maddox throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Sohlberg to counter with a crisp jab.
Maddox throws an off balance right hand
and Sohlberg counters with a nice uppercut.
Sohlberg moves into the clinch.
Sohlberg lands a nice shot to the body.
Maddox is breathing heavily.
A short body shot lands from Sohlberg as the two fighters clinch.

Sohlberg is working Maddox over against the cage.
Sohlberg's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Sohlberg drops Maddox onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Maddox is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Oh Maddox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sohlberg dips a shoulder and cracks Maddox with a mighty uppercut! Maddox falls back against the cage and Sohlberg unloads with a barrage of strikes! Maddox is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Sohlberg screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Christopher Sohlberg!
