The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ashford paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ashford throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bond moves into the clinch.
Bond drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bond breaks the clinch.
Ashford throws a sloppy head kick and Bond moves out of range easily.
Ashford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bond takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
David Ashford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ashford fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bond looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ashford avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ashford misses with a looping left.
Ashford throws a shot from downtown. Bond moves away and avoids it.
Ashford paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Bond walks into a left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bond thows a body kick. Ashford tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ashford fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Bond to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Bond looks to clinch but Ashford throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Bond taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
