PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Tremblay (ranked 22105 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Clancy (ranked 4112 p4p, 0 weight class). Clancy has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Tremblay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordon Clancy!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tremblay clinches.

Tremblay jumps guard and drags Clancy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tremblay has picked Clancy up - he's going for a ride! Tremblay dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gordon Clancy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Clancy gets tackled into the cage by Tremblay. Tremblay maintains the clinch.

Tremblay is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Clancy can't fight it off and eventually Tremblay manages to take the fight to the floor. Clancy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Tremblay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Clancy is proving hard to escape from.
Tremblay is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Clancy can do to turn this around?

Clancy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tremblay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Clancy has his foot on Tremblay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tremblay works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Clancy drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Clancy as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tremblay screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Clancy! Nice submission victory there!
