Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Danis with a poor takedown
and Read cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Danis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Read checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Read missing with a left hand there. Danis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Read takes a swing at Danis's ribcage but misses.
Danis fails with a takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Read on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Read scores with a punch to the head.
Danis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Danis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Danis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Danis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Read is staying active underneath Danis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Danis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Read is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Danis jumps into side control!
