The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MBaku fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McStoner looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
McStoner paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether MBaku might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

MBaku is stalling here. McStoner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! MBaku seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McStoner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

MBaku wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McStoner, who protects the arm well.

MBaku swings around for an armbar but McStoner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into MBaku's guard.
Madik MBaku overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

McStoner got a little sloppy there for a moment and MBaku has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McStoner has managed to get both his arms back between MBaku's legs - danger averted.

MBaku working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McStoner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McStoner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
