PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michale Chang (ranked 6615 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 4843 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jon Snow was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michale Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Snow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chang pinned against the cage. Chang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chang seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Snow looks for a takedown but Chang sprawls well.
Chang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Snow.
Michale Chang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snow.
Snow shoots in and drives through. Chang sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow blocks the body kick.
Chang misses with a low kick.

Chang keeps the fight on the outside.

Snow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Snow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chang avoids it really well and circles away.
Chang appears to be looking for a big counter.
Snow throws a lazy head kick

and Chang counters by clinching up.

Snow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snow avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Snow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chang throws a low kick, looking for Snow's leg but Snow calmly moves out of range.
Snow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Chang swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jon Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chang fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chang lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively.

Chang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snow is trying to defend but Chang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Snow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snow changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chang tries to avoid it but Snow manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chang to the ground. Chang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chang wants the takedown. Snow is fighting it off but Chang persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Snow's guard against the cage.

Snow tries to clinch but Chang is having none of it.

Snow changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chang fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Chang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Snow darts in looking for a takedown but Chang gets double underhooks and turns Snow into the cage.
