Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Cain Diaz (ranked 5209 p4p, 422 weight class) and Enzo Viticello (ranked 7221 p4p, 482 weight class). Cain Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cain Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Enzo Viticello!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Diaz throws an ugly left hook that misses

and before Diaz can reset, Viticello rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Diaz is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!
Viticello has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Diaz is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Diaz slips a straight right by Viticello.
Diaz slips a jab from Viticello.
Viticello tries to clinch up but Diaz circles away and keeps his distance.
Diaz misses with an uppercut. Viticello saw that one coming.
Diaz misses with a wild body shot.
Diaz cracks a nice hook into Viticello's ribs.

Diaz throws out a loose jab but Viticello uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Viticello avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Viticello looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Viticello will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Diaz up against the ropes.
Diaz's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Viticello lands a body shot.
Viticello has Diaz pressed against the ropes, preventing Diaz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on Diaz's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Diaz tries to break the clinch but Viticello is controlling the position.
Diaz is trying to break the clinch but Viticello has him pressed against the ropes.
The referee is keeping an eye on Viticello - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Viticello pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Diaz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Viticello misses with a hook. Diaz ducked under it nicely.
Diaz jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Viticello counters by moving into the clinch.
Diaz has had enough of the clinch but Viticello keeps him there for the moment.
Diaz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Diaz's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Viticello doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Viticello has Diaz pushed against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Enzo Viticello should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Viticello shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Viticello takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Viticello moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz feints a jab promting Viticello to slip. Diaz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Viticello slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cain Diaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Viticello is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz lands a head shot.
Viticello has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Diaz finds it's way round the side to connect with Viticello's head.
Viticello looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely.

Viticello closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Diaz crashing to the mat! Diaz uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Viticello steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Diaz.
Viticello wants to counter with a clinch but Diaz pushes him away.

Viticello with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Diaz to score with a decent uppercut.

Viticello drives through and clinches with Diaz against the ropes.

and Viticello holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Viticello is pushing Diaz up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Viticello misses with a series of wild punches.
Viticello throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diaz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Viticello back to the ropes. Diaz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Diaz throws a looping overhand right but Viticello ducks down to avoid it.
Viticello slips a jab and a cross from Diaz.
Diaz stalks Viticello and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Viticello's face. Viticello staggers backwards, shaken.

Viticello takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

letting Viticello counter with a right hand.
Diaz stuns Viticello with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Viticello throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease.
Diaz appears to be looking for a big counter.
Diaz throws a right and a left that Viticello avoids nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Viticello! But no joy.
Viticello wants to clinch but Diaz slips to the side
and Diaz counters with a three punch combo that has Viticello backing up. Viticello nods at Diaz to acknowledge the strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cain Diaz showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Diaz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
