PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kosuke Ishimura (ranked 2003 p4p, 34 weight class) and Rick Bomber (ranked 3485 p4p, 120 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kosuke Ishimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 53 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Bomber!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishimura swinging wildly here.
Ishimura is looking to chop away at Bomber's legs.
Bomber scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ishimura lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bomber has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bomber and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ishimura thuds a left hand into Bomber's body.
Bomber misses with a hook to the body
and Ishimura counters with a nice uppercut.
Ishimura thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ishimura throws a head kick that Bomber semi-blocks.
Ishimura takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A telegraphed right hand from Bomber misses the target.
Bomber throws a low kick, looking for Ishimura's leg but Ishimura calmly moves out of range.

Ishimura throws an overhand right that lands on Bomber's shoulder, as Bomber tries to avoid the shot.
Ishimura swings for the body but Bomber moves out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bomber slips under a jab from Ishimura.
Bomber throws out a loose jab but Ishimura uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ishimura lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Bomber blocks a head kick by Ishimura.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ishimura lands with an uppercut that bounces Bomber off the ropes and back into range.
Bomber throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ishimura.
Bomber moves out of range of the body kick.
As Ishimura backs off Bomber throws a huge counter combo but Ishimura manages to avoid it all.
Bomber jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ishimura jabs Bomber right on the nose. Bomber blinks but takes it well.

Ishimura tries a head kick but it misses.

Ishimura moves out of range as Bomber strikes.
Bomber cracks Ishimura with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bomber misses with a hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ishimura is rocked!
Bomber dodges the punch combination from Ishimura.
Oh Ishimura is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bomber tries to bum rush Ishimura with a series of wild strikes but Ishimura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ishimura seems to have got his legs back now.
Bomber throws a right hand that Ishimura ducks under and follows up with a left that Ishimura also avoids with ease.
Bomber throws a nice looking combination but Ishimura bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bomber lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Ishimura goes down! The ref sends Bomber to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Ishimura is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Ishimura misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It seemed like Bomber was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Bomber shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ishimura eats them both and turns towards Bomber to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ishimura lands a high kick!
Ishimura throws a head kick but Bomber moves out of range.
Ishimura throws a lazy body kick
and Bomber counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Ishimura falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
