Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uzumaki Naruto (ranked 6723 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatak Marines (ranked 24612 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Naruto or perhaps it was just good defense by Marines, which made it look bad.
And Marines tries to counter it with a takedown but Naruto pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Naruto throws a head kick that misses

so Marines counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Naruto has a closed guard, preventing Marines from standing up.
Naruto has control of Marines's left arm, preventing Marines from doing any damage.
Naruto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Naruto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marines gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Naruto dives in and grabs Marines's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marines pushes down on Naruto's head and hops out.

Naruto closes the distance and pushes Marines back into the cage.

Uzumaki Naruto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Naruto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marines is fending him off so far but Naruto persists. Nope, Marines circles away and we're back to standing.
Marines is looking for the big counter here.
Naruto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marines tries to avoid it but Naruto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marines to the ground. Marines escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Naruto is breathing heavily.
Naruto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marines avoids it really well and circles away.
Marines appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
