Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pony Pony (ranked 104 p4p, 7 weight class) and Buster Napoleon (ranked 327 p4p, 14 weight class). Buster Napoleon acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pony Pony!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Napoleon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pony fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Buster Napoleon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pony wants to clinch up but Napoleon keeps it at a distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Napoleon or perhaps it was just good defense by Pony, which made it look bad.
Pony is looking for a counter combo.
Good leg kick by Napoleon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Napoleon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pony has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Napoleon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Napoleon throws a hook but Pony avoids it easily.
It looked like Pony was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Pony connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.


It looks like Buster Napoleon has been cut.

Napoleon lands a big head kick that sends Pony tumbling to the mat! Napoleon takes a step backwards and waves Pony back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Pony Pony has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pony checks a leg kick.
Pony went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Napoleon throws a leg kick
and Pony cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pony looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pony lands with a right hand.
Napoleon tries to land a body kick
and Pony finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Napoleon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A big left from Napoleon misses.
Pony wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Pony has taken the fight to the clinch.
Napoleon lands a right hand.
Pony working aggressively here.
Napoleon tries to work over Pony's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pony unloads a knee to the mid-section. Napoleon lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Napoleon looks winded!
Pony lands a good knee to the midsection. Napoleon won't want to take too many of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A short right hand to the side of the head by Pony.
Pony trying to land knees to the body.
Pony lands with a left to the head.
Pony misses with a body punch.

Pony breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pony looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Napoleon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pony counters with a right hand to the body.
Pony lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Napoleon at a distance.

Pony cracks Napoleon with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Napoleon looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pony finish him?
Napoleon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pony.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Napoleon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pony makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Napoleon really felt that one!

Pony moves into range and clinches up with Napoleon.
Napoleon misses with a hook from the clinch.
Pony digs a right hand underneath Napoleon's ribcage. Napoleon let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Pony lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


That has opened up Buster Napoleon's cut even more.

Pony drops Napoleon with a big knee straight up the middle! Napoleon is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Pony closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pony has Napoleon pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Napoleon is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Pony - that's hurt Napoleon badly! Oh, another knee lands and Napoleon is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Napoleon doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Pony Pony!
Pony Pony seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Buster Napoleon stepped up to the mic, saying 'Holy shit you hit hard. I will go do some neck exercises and come back to MACAW YOU!'.
