Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Simard (ranked 2021 p4p, 224 weight class) and Joao Cajo Branca (ranked 6481 p4p, 426 weight class). Branca is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Baby's on fire. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branca scores with a jab to the head.
Branca throws a looping overhand right but Simard ducks down to avoid it.
Branca throws a leg kick
and Branca takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Joao Cajo Branca has been cut.
Branca takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Branca avoids the body shot from Simard.
Simard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Joao Cajo Branca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Branca lands with a good body shot.
Simard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Branca uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Simard.
Branca throws a chopping leg kick but Simard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Branca fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Simard is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Branca misses with a jab to the body
and Simard scores with a counter punch that sends Branca to the canvas! Simard smells blood - he's punishing Branca with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Branca has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
