Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drake Macon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Kiniski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macon comes to the cage accompanied by Rock You Like a Hurricane. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drake Macon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gene Kiniski!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiniski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Macon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kiniski is looking to take a break and control but Macon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Macon tries to buck Kiniski off but Kiniski is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macon is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macon sneaks back into half guard.
Macon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kiniski is working away from the top position though.

Macon tries to roll over but Kiniski keeps him under control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kiniski fails to land the takedown.
Macon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kiniski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Macon!

Macon tries to lock up and control but Kiniski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Macon keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kiniski avoids the attempt from Macon to control.
Macon holds on for dear life.
Macon is in all sorts of trouble here.

Macon tries to lock up and control but Kiniski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Macon is trying to escape the mount.
Macon is controlling an arm, preventing Kiniski from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Macon is just holding on here. Kiniski manages to take his back.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Macon is really stuck here.
Macon looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kiniski controlling the positon.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
You can see the frustration on Macon's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gene Kiniski dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kiniski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kiniski showed some decent athleticism there.
Macon trying to control here.
Macon tries to roll over but Kiniski keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macon manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Macon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Macon is looking for a triangle here but Kiniski uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Macon is trying to control Kiniski's posture but Kiniski avoids it.
Kiniski is staying tight to Macon's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Macon is trying to work for a sweep but Kiniski has mounted him!

Macon tries to lock up and control but Kiniski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Macon tries to control Kiniski's body but Kiniski pushes him off. Macon squirms to his side and now Kiniski has his back!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Drake Macon just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kiniski tries to move into full mount but can't pass Macon's legs.
Macon is trying to improve his position.

Gene Kiniski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Macon shoots and misses

and Kiniski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Macon's guard.
Kiniski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kiniski prevents Macon from getting back to his feet.
Kiniski wants to control from the top but Macon keeps moving.
Kiniski content to stall in guard here.
Macon controlling the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Kiniski counters with a single leg into guard. Macon didn't expect that.

Kiniski tries to free his leg and advance position but Macon is retaining full guard.
Kiniski controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Macon wants to stand up but Kiniski is controlling him.
Macon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Macon wants to sweep but no luck.
Macon looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Macon misses with a takedown

and Kiniski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kiniski.
Macon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kiniski sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Macon moves into full mount! Kiniski won't be happy about that!
