Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Mann (ranked 3370 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Sousa (ranked 24547 p4p, 0 weight class). Mann comes to the cage accompanied by "Fingerbang". Sousa has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Carter Mann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Sousa!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann misses with the combination.
A nice side step and Sousa releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Mann tries to bum rush Sousa with a series of wild strikes but Sousa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd cheers as Mann lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sousa doesn't seem phased though.
Mann lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sousa backs up against the cage.
Sousa is looking to clinch but Mann is avoiding it.
Sousa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Sousa is rocked!

Sousa closes the distance and clinches.
Mann managing to block the knees to the body from Sousa.
Sousa tries to throw a body punch but Mann avoids it by throwing Sousa back against the cage.
Sousa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Mann breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mann swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mann scores with a one two! Sousa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Sousa attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Sousa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mann lands with a nice body punch.
Mann throws out a powerful jab.
Sousa is still on wobbly legs! Can Mann finish him?
Carter Mann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mann drops Sousa with a left and a right! Oh, Sousa is hurt - Mann dives into side control looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee asks Mann politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mann prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mann crunches a massive hammerfist down on Sousa - he's out! Mann Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Carter Mann!
Carter Mann was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
