The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farias tries to clinch there but Rosenthal circles away.
Rosenthal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Farias counters with a head kick. That will keep Rosenthal thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Rosenthal closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Farias to the mat! Farias manages to get full guard.
Rosenthal is standing up over Farias. Farias looks to escape but Rosenthal dives into side control.
Farias knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rosenthal on the ground.

Rosenthal decides to stand up, so the ref orders Farias to his feet.
Farias lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Rosenthal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Farias quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rosenthal is looking for a kimura but Farias is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rosenthal to get the leverage.
Farias won't allow Rosenthal to pass to mount.
Rosenthal is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Farias!

Farias is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rosenthal locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Farias is forced to tap!
