The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gouveia fails with a takedown attempt.

Gouveia gets caught flat footed, as McCreadie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Gouveia had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McCreadie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gouveia Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McCreadie's back instead.
McCreadie wants to escape the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Gouveia's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Gouveia is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. McCreadie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

McCreadie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gouveia walks away with a smile on his face. McCreadie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
