The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hines throws a leg kick but Kite moved away.
Kite appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hines misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kite throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kite looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kite tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hines was well out of range. Poor timing from Kite.

Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Kite is quick to defend against it.

As Hines backs off Kite throws a huge counter combo but Hines manages to avoid it all.
Carmen Hines seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kite raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Hines has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kite.
Kite scores with a kick to the midsection.

Kite dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hines. That did some damage!
The fight stays on the outside here - Hines looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kite fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hines has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kite cracks a nice hook into Hines's ribs.
Reginald Kite is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kite fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kite is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hines rather than just go for the knockout.
Kite lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Kite lands a big right hook! Hines looks hurt but is still standing! Kite lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Hines falls down and Kite dives in with a huge hammer fist! Hines's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Kite runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
