Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Konstantin Sokolov (ranked 990 p4p, 124 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 1138 p4p, 142 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bang moves away.
Bang with the counter takedown but Sokolov avoids it easily.
Sokolov misses with a looping left.
Sokolov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bang with the counter takedown but Sokolov avoids it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Sokolov misses the target.
Bang moves away from the strike by Sokolov.
Bang on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Some wild striking there from Sokolov.
Bang tries to counter by closing the distance.

Bang rushes Sokolov and presses him up against the cage.

It looks like Miro Bang has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sokolov gets through Bang's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bang gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Sokolov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bang trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Sokolov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bang manages to get himself to full guard.

Bang throws a strike but Sokolov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bang is looking for a triangle but Sokolov pushes his legs off easily.
Sokolov trying to control but Bang is working from the bottom.

Bang looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sokolov passes into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bang tries to improve position but can't.
Bang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bang is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sokolov is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
