Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Javier Springfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and recom uy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Springfield shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Springfield was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee warns uy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Springfield goes for an armbar but uy turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from uy.

Springfield escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. uy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells uy's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Springfield avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
uy throws a strike but Springfield rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
uy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Springfield's guard.
uy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

uy stands and throws Springfield's legs to the side, diving into side control.

uy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Springfield keeps working.
Springfield takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Springfield tries to get back to half guard but can't.

uy postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Springfield in real trouble here! The ref calls for Springfield to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
