Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oren Rodgers (ranked 5892 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Hunter (ranked 4911 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rodgers tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hunter is in Rodgers's guard.

Hunter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rodgers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hunter is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rodgers shoots in looking for a takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl out of it but Rodgers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hunter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rodgers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hunter defends it easily.

Rodgers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hunter stops Rodgers from standing up.

Rodgers is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hunter dives into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rodgers tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Hunter trying to control the position but Rodgers is working away.

Hunter stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hunter stuffs the takedown attempt from Rodgers. Rodgers gets slowly back to his feet.

Hunter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodgers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rodgers is not content to let Hunter control the position.
Rodgers wants to control but Hunter postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Hunter dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rodgers is trying to maintain a safe position but Hunter gets an underhook and turns Rodgers into the cage.

Hunter tightens his grip and picks Rodgers up, before dumping him to the ground. Rodgers manages to land in guard.

Rodgers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hunter manages to get himself to full guard.

Hunter is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Rodgers locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Hunter is forced to tap!
