The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hines leaves Pedroso with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Pedroso is quick to defend against it.

Pedroso shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pedroso seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Pedroso throws a big elbow that misses.
Hines will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
