Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Morton Carson (ranked 5543 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Flodder (ranked 4629 p4p, 0 weight class). Flodder has chosen Amsterdamned as his entrance music. Johnny Flodder will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flodder throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
so Carson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Flodder is trying to keep Carson in close.
Carson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Flodder has his foot on Carson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carson works his way back into a safe position though.
Carson is in close to Flodder's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Carson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Flodder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carson circles away.

Carson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Flodder wants to stand back up but Carson manages to pass into side control.
Carson tries for a kimura but Flodder is defending well.

Carson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Flodder is looking to regain half guard here but Carson keeps moving and retains side control.

Carson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Flodder has escaped the position, nice work there.

Carson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Flodder takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Carson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Flodder is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Carson yanks on the arm and Flodder is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Carson.
