The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leo Nani shoots in looking for a takedown but Te Tai manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leo Nani's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Te Tai. Leo Nani shrugs it off though.
Leo Nani will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Avgua Siav Leo Nani. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leo Nani changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Te Tai tries to avoid it but Leo Nani manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Te Tai to the ground. Te Tai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Leo Nani takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Te Tai closes the distance and pushes Leo Nani back into the cage.

Te Tai works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Leo Nani is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Te Tai has his hands clasped together but Leo Nani extends and breaks Te Tai's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Leo Nani.
