Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Warren Francis (ranked 5659 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jr Cupido (ranked 4587 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn Jr Cupido has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cupido throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Francis counters by clinching up.

Francis drags the fight down to the ground.
Francis wants to stand but Cupido is controlling the position.
Francis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cupido's guard.

Francis drops back looking for a leg! Cupido is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cupido manages to kick Francis off! Francis jumps back into Cupido's guard.
Francis lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Cupido is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Francis is aware though and is defending well.
Cupido looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Francis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cupido manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Francis has Cupido in his guard.

Cupido really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Francis scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Francis slips a jab and a cross from Cupido.
Francis tries to counter with a takedown but Cupido is quick to defend against it.
Cupido throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cupido tries to keep at a distance but Francis has taken the fight into the clinch.

Francis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cupido walks away with a smile on his face. Francis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Cupido throws a right and a left that Francis avoids nicely.
Francis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Francis counters with a shoot takedown. Cupido fights it but they end up in guard.

Cupido has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Francis stands up over Cupido, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Francis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Francis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cupido is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Francis, into his guard.

Francis wants to get back to his feet but Cupido is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Cupido stands up and waves to Francis to follow him.
Cupido feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Franciss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cupido lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cupido throws a series of punches but Francis moves out of range.

and Francis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Francis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cupido has managed to free his arm - good work.

Francis is working for a submission of some sort.

Cupido is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cupido keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Francis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cupido tries to roll over but Francis keeps him under control.

Cupido lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Francis circles away quickly and effectively.

Cupido tries to bum rush Francis with a series of wild strikes but Francis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cupido lands a left and a right that send Francis crashing to the mat, dazed. Cupido thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Warren Francis has been cut.
Francis loses concentration momentarily and Cupido pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Francis crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Cupido finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Shawn Jr Cupido spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
