The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Herman checks a leg kick.
Herman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nurmagomedov circles away.
Herman misses with a takedown attempt - Nurmagomedov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nurmagomedov is looking for the big counter here.

Herman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nurmagomedov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
