Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stelio Kontos (ranked 3796 p4p, 349 weight class) and Ricardo Del Brophy (ranked 3145 p4p, 309 weight class). Ricardo Del Brophy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricardo Del Brophy!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kontos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Del Brophy.
Del Brophy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kontos counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Del Brophy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kontos swings for the body but Del Brophy moves out of range.
It seemed like Del Brophy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Del Brophy throws a head kick that misses.
Del Brophy slips under a jab from Kontos.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Del Brophy! But no joy.
Kontos connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kontos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Del Brophy manages to avoid it.
Kontos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Del Brophy lands a big head kick that sends Kontos tumbling to the mat! Del Brophy takes a step backwards and waves Kontos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Stelio Kontos has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Del Brophy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Del Brophy unleashes a big counter combination but Kontos bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Stelio Kontos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kontos misses with a jab to the body
and Del Brophy counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Del Brophy looks at the referee who does nothing so Del Brophy lands a crushing right that sends Kontos to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ricardo Del Brophy really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Hot Spunk logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
