Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Lydon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Volland!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Lydon.
Lydon thuds his shin into the meat of Volland's side.
Volland buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Volland avoids the body shot from Lydon.
Volland fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lydon.
Lydon throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Lydon lands a front kick.
Volland throws a chopping leg kick but Lydon manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Lydon appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Volland avoids a kick to the body.
Lydon cracks Volland with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lydon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Volland looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Volland takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Lydon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Volland lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lydon's sensitive parts.
Volland throws a chopping leg kick but Lydon manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Volland shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lydon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lydon wants to stand and escape but Volland is having none of it.
Volland wants to control from the top but Lydon keeps moving.
Volland is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Volland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lydon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Volland passes Lydon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lydon pushes Volland off looking to stand but Volland dives back in and keeps control.

Volland is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lydon has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Volland seems to be looking for submissions.

Volland is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lydon defends it well.
Lydon is trying to stand up here but Volland is controlling him well.

Volland swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lydon is now in Volland's guard. A big mistake from Volland there, giving up the dominant position!

Volland has his foot on Lydon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lydon works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lydon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Johnny Lydon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lydon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Volland circles away quickly and effectively.
Volland throws a leg kick but Lydon sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Lydon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Volland.

A close round but Christian Volland will probably get the nod.

Lydon misses with a head kick.

Lydon lands a left and a right that send Volland crashing to the mat, dazed. Lydon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Volland is still on wobbly legs! Can Lydon finish him?

It looks like Christian Volland has been cut.
Volland tries to score with a low kick but Lydon moves his leg out of the way.
Lydon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
An inside leg kick lands from Volland.
Johnny Lydon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lydon misses with a two punch combination.
Lydon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Volland fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lydon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lydon moves into the clinch successfully.
Lydon is leaning against Volland and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Lydon manages to break the clinch.
Volland get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Volland stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Lydon runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
