Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirov drives through with a takedown into Douglas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Douglas is looking to stand back up but Kirov counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Douglas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Douglas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kirov is working away from the top position though.

Douglas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kirov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kirov's back!

Kirov is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Douglas gets his way!

That was a close round but I would say that Kiro Kirov will probably get the nod.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Douglas looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kirov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jake Douglas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
