Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Akinwande (ranked 2355 p4p, 249 weight class) and John Daugherty (ranked 2830 p4p, 276 weight class). Daugherty has chosen Dragula - Rob Zombie as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugherty avoids the body shot from Akinwande.
And Daugherty tries to counter it with a takedown but Akinwande pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Daugherty throws an overhand right that lands on Akinwande's shoulder, as Akinwande tries to avoid the shot.

Daugherty has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Akinwande throws a hook but Daugherty avoids it easily.

Daugherty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Akinwande was well out of range. Poor timing from Daugherty.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Akinwande throws a wild body kick that Daugherty sees coming a mile off.

Akinwande circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Daugherty tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Akinwande wins by KO!
