Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andy Miranda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Bruckner!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bruckner clinches with his opponent.
Bruckner can't find room to land a body shot as Miranda controls the action.
Miranda jumps guard but Bruckner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Miranda drags the fight down to the ground.

Miranda can't keep his opponent in guard - Bruckner advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bruckner is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Miranda reverses the position - he's now on top in Bruckner's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruckner jumps guard and drags Miranda to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bruckner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miranda defends well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Miranda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bruckner has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Miranda off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Josh Bruckner will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Miranda tries to clinch but Bruckner is having none of it.
Bruckner drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Miranda defends it well.
Miranda goes for a double leg but Bruckner avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bruckner continues to drive forward.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miranda enables Bruckner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miranda manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Miranda is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bruckner presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Bruckner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bruckner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Miranda struggling a bit here.
Bruckner is chipping away with strikes.

Bruckner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miranda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miranda wants to control but Bruckner postures up.

Andy Miranda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bruckner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miranda keeps working.

Well Bruckner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
