Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Wallace (ranked 4093 p4p, 134 weight class) and Lev Davidovitch Bronstein (ranked 5051 p4p, 157 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wilbur Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lev Davidovitch Bronstein!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace scores with a hook.


It looks like Lev Davidovitch Bronstein has been cut.
Bronstein moves forwards but Wallace connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bronstein or perhaps it was just good defense by Wallace, which made it look bad.
Wallace throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bronstein on the side of the head.
Wallace really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bronstein has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wallace finds it's way round the side to connect with Bronstein's head.
Bronstein tries to move into range but Wallace moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Wallace thuds a left hand into Bronstein's body.
Wallace slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bronstein has his takedown stuffed
and Wallace cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Bronstein shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wallace manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wallace is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bronstein dives into side control.

Wallace's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Wallace is trying to escape the position but Bronstein is controlling the position.

An elbow from Bronstein crashes against the mat.
Bronstein is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Wallace will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Wallace is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The referee asks Bronstein politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bronstein prefers to stall for the moment though.

Bronstein stands up and beckons Wallace to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bronstein changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

and Wallace cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wilbur Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lev Davidovitch Bronstein.
Wallace moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Bronstein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bronstein is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wallace's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Bronstein has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bronstein stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallace waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Bronstein. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Bronstein to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bronstein's guard.
Bronstein wants to stand but Wallace is controlling the position.
Wallace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bronstein pushes Wallace off and gets back to his feet.

Wallace scores with a hook to the body. Bronstein takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Bronstein is breathing heavily.
Bronstein drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


The cut above Lev Davidovitch Bronstein's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Bronstein ducks straight into an uppercut from Wallace and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Bronstein manages to regain guard straight away.

Wallace wanted to stand there but Bronstein had control of the position.
Bronstein wants to stand but Wallace is controlling the position.
Wallace wants to get up but he can't break Bronstein's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bronstein wants to stand up but Wallace is controlling him.

Bronstein pushes Wallace off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wallace is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bronstein gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wallace counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wallace tries to clinch but Bronstein moves out of range.
Bronstein fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallace throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bronstein stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wallace is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Bronstein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lev Davidovitch Bronstein's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Lev Davidovitch Bronstein has got the better of the ground game so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wallace wants to stand and escape but instead Bronstein has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bronstein seems to have recovered his senses.
Bronstein not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wallace avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Wallace on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wallace tries to get out of the position.

Bronstein gets to his feet - Wallace follows without any prompting.

Wallace has Bronstein up against the cage in a clinch.
Wallace misses with some punches.
Wallace lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wilbur Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bronstein turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Wallace is looking to get back to his feet here but Bronstein is keeping cool and he's managed to take Wallace's back.
Bronstein really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Wallace.

Wallace is trying to get back to his feet but Bronstein has full control of the position and if anything, Wallace has just worked his way into a worse spot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bronstein controlling the position well here. Wallace rolled but Bronstein kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
