The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alex bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Hill throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Alex tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hill is in Alex's guard.
Hill throws a big right hand that misses.
Hill postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Alex escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alex avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hill lands a couple of elbows.

Hill scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hill postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Alex's head off the mat! Alex is out! He's out! Hill jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
