Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Cubbedge (ranked 3038 p4p, 350 weight class) and Matola Machava (ranked 2836 p4p, 334 weight class). Machava has chosen Mozambique National Anthem as his entrance music. Matola Machava is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubbedge connects with a right hand. Machava shakes it off.
Cubbedge throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Machava appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Cubbedge misses with an uppercut
and Machava counters with a good low kick that Cubbedge was not able to check.
Machava slips a straight right by Cubbedge .
A little jabbing left from Machava on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cubbedge looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cubbedge throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Machava steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Cubbedge cracks Machava with a good jab.
Machava takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cubbedge fails to land with a series of punches.
Machava appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cubbedge lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Machava circles away quickly and effectively.
Cubbedge lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A jab from Cubbedge does it's job there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cubbedge fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cubbedge throws out a loose jab but Machava uses good head movement to avoid it.
Machava is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cubbedge with a body shot.

and Machava counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cubbedge uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Machava has time to react.
Cubbedge paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cubbedge is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cubbedge lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Machava has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Machava and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Cubbedge fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Despite the aggression on Machava's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Cubbedge catches Machava with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Machava tries to throw a body punch but Cubbedge avoids it by throwing Machava back against the ropes.

Machava can't find room to land a body shot as Cubbedge controls the action.
Machava lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cubbedge or not.
Cubbedge is breathing heavily.
Machava tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Machava lands a hook that snaps the head of Cubbedge backwards.

Machava breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cubbedge throws a leg kick but Machava sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Machava only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Machava has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cubbedge is looking to control Machava's arms but Machava gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cubbedge has his back to the ropes.
Machava digs a right hand underneath Cubbedge 's ribcage. Cubbedge let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Machava tries to throw a body punch but Cubbedge avoids it by throwing Machava back against the ropes.
Machava tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cubbedge 's elbow.

Machava's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Cubbedge takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Oooooh!!! Machava has knocked Cubbedge down with a huge combo! Machava steps away and waves a wobbly Cubbedge back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Cubbedge bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Machava comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Cubbedge falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Cubbedge was out before he hit the floor!
