Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Austin (ranked 22353 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kleetes Redneck (ranked 7333 p4p, 0 weight class). Kleetes Redneck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eugene Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kleetes Redneck!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redneck tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kleetes Redneck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redneck looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Good work by Austin as he checks the leg kick.
Austin throws a big counter combination but Redneck scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Austin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Redneck, pushing him back against the cage.

Austin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Redneck with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Redneck felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Austin lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Austin connects with a nice short shot to Redneck's temple.
Austin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Eugene Austin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Austin is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Austin gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Austin gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Austin apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Austin is nestled in close to Redneck, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Austin connects with a bit shot that sees Redneck covering up! More strikes from Austin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Austin is our winner by TKO!
