Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricco McGregor (ranked 3268 p4p, 115 weight class) and Ryo Takuma (ranked 1628 p4p, 77 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricco McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryo Takuma!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Takuma's jab looks to have found its range, popping McGregor under the eye.
Ryo Takuma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takuma lands a nice shot that snaps McGregor's head back.
Takuma's corner calls for a 1-2. Takuma obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Takuma has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McGregor is landing a low percentage of strikes.

McGregor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Takuma has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McGregor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takuma throws a shot from downtown. McGregor moves away and avoids it.
Takuma might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
McGregor takes a swing at Takuma's ribcage but misses.
Takuma throws out a counter right but McGregor avoids it with no problem.
Good exchange - Takuma coming out on top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ricco McGregor's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Takuma drops McGregor onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! McGregor is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Oh McGregor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Takuma misses with a hook from the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Takuma unloads with a big right hand that wobbles McGregor! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Takuma is unloading with more strikes now! McGregor drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryo Takuma!
Ryo Takuma opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
