Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hamza Showaikh (ranked 3228 p4p, 270 weight class) and Rick Jackson (ranked 5032 p4p, 354 weight class). Jackson has chosen Wild Thing - The Troggs as his entrance music. Hamza Showaikh could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rick Jackson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showaikh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.

Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Showaikh wants to take the fight to the mat but Jackson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Showaikh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Showaikh persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

A head kick by Jackson - that's a beauty! Showaikh is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Jackson can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Rick Jackson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
