The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons throws a series of punches but Phoenix avoids them all with ease.
Simmons lands with a nice combination. Phoenix backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Leon Phoenix has been cut.

Simmons rushes Phoenix and presses him up against the cage.

Simmons can't find room to land a body shot as Phoenix controls the action.

and Simmons takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Simmons is trying to maintain a safe position but Phoenix gets an underhook and turns Simmons into the cage.
