Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cthulhu Fhtagn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fhtagn's entrance music is Cthulhu Fhtagn!. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Barton's choice of entrance music: Do You Really Want to Hurt Me - The Culture Club. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fhtagn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fhtagn throws a sloppy head kick and Barton moves out of range easily.
Jab, jab by Fhtagn - just one landing.
It looks like Chris Barton has been cut.
Barton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barton avoids the head kick by Fhtagn.

Barton on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Barton has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fhtagn finds it's way round the side to connect with Barton's head.
Fhtagn tries a head kick but it misses.
Fhtagn stalks Barton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barton's face. Barton staggers backwards, shaken.
That has opened up Chris Barton's cut even more.
A head kick lands from Fhtagn that sends Barton to the canvas. Barton tries to scramble back to his feet but Fhtagn brings him back down into side control.
Barton is rocked!

Barton tries to improve position but can't.
Fhtagn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Barton to his feet.
Barton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fhtagn stalks Barton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barton's face. Barton staggers backwards, shaken.
The cut above Chris Barton's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nice body kick there by Fhtagn.
Fhtagn throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fhtagn scores with a spinning back kick!
Barton takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Barton blocks a head kick by Fhtagn.
Fhtagn drives through and clinches with Barton against the cage.
Fhtagn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cthulhu Fhtagn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fhtagn scores with a hook to the body. Barton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fhtagn throws the kick towards the body but Barton avoids it.
Barton throws a head kick that misses.
Fhtagn moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Barton wants to clinch but Fhtagn slips to the side
and Fhtagn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
No luck for Barton with that takedown attempt.
Fhtagn plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nice takedown defense from Fhtagn. No joy for Barton on that attempt.
Cthulhu Fhtagn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Barton.
Fhtagn throws a series of punches but Barton moves out of range.
Barton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Barton is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fhtagn is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Barton.
Fhtagn moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barton lands an elbow inside that Fhtagn shrugs off.

Barton is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fhtagn pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Fhtagn is looking to wear down Barton with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barton.

and Fhtagn makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Barton really felt that one!

Cthulhu Fhtagn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fhtagn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barton circles away quickly and effectively.
Barton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Barton takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Barton tries to clinch up.
Fhtagn lands a head kick. Barton smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A head kick misses from Barton.
Fhtagn scores with a jab. Barton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fhtagn looks to throw a body kick
and Barton counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fhtagn!
Barton avoids the attempt from Fhtagn to control.
Fhtagn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Barton mounts Fhtagn! Really nice guard pass there!
Fhtagn squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Barton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fhtagn is now in Barton's guard. A big mistake from Barton there, giving up the dominant position!
Fhtagn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fhtagn is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cthulhu Fhtagn dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chris Barton's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Barton takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cthulhu Fhtagn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Barton doesn't manage to clinch there - Fhtagn circles away.
Fhtagn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Barton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fhtagn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barton has time to react.
Barton has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Fhtagn.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fhtagn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Chris Barton's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
No joy there for Fhtagn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barton is still on wobbly legs! Can Fhtagn finish him?
A big head kick from Fhtagn and Barton is sent sprawling to the canvas!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Barton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
