Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonso Mccray (ranked 4711 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Jackson (ranked 3068 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Jackson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccray fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson tries to clinch but Mccray is having none of it.
Mccray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Mccray scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mccray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mccray has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jackson wriggles free and stands up.

Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Mccray is dominant here and he's now got Jackson's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mccray controlling the position well here. Jackson rolled but Mccray kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mccray seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.

Mccray tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.

Jackson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jackson rushes Mccray and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mccray manages to break the clinch.
Jackson looks for the body kick but Mccray saw that one coming.

and Mccray counters with a head kick. That will keep Jackson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A telegraphed right hand from Jackson misses the target.
Mccray throws a big counter combination but Jackson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

and Mccray counters with a one-two to the body.
Rick Jackson seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Jackson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mccray taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Mccray has Jackson pushed against the cage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Mccray for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Mccray is trying to pull guard but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.

Mccray ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mccray no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Mccray's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jackson wants to control from the top but Mccray keeps moving.
Mccray has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position.
Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Mccray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Rick Jackson will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mccray went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Mccray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Nice takedown defense from Mccray. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Alonso Mccray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Jackson.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mccray is looking to counter with head kicks.

Jackson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mccray will feel that in the morning.

Mccray has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jackson uses from the top position.
Jackson throws a strike but Mccray rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mccray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Jackson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Mccray could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mccray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mccray seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Mccray circles away and keeps his distance.
Jackson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rick Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
