Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez misses with a straight right.
Rones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! in the buildup to the fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rones, as that shot connected.
Rones loads up on a big right hand but Gonzalez slips the punch.
Rones connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Anthony Gonzalez has been cut.
Gonzalez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Rones counter with a right hand.
Gonzalez misses with a left hand
and Rones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gonzalez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gonzalez! But no joy.

and Rones counters with a lovely straight right hand!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looked like Rones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gonzalez.

Rones throws the left hand but Gonzalez avoids the punch easily.

Gonzalez thuds his right hand into Rones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Gonzalez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rones is looking to counter punch.

and Rones counters with a nice body kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gonzalez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gonzalez looks to land a left hand but Rones moved out of range nicely.
Rones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gonzalez connects with the punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gonzalez moves out of range of the body kick.
Gonzalez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice straight punches there by Gonzalez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gonzalez.
Crunch! Gonzalez slams his shin into Rones's torso.
Rones throws the kick towards the body but Gonzalez avoids it.
Rones is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Gonzalez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gonzalez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gonzalez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anthony Gonzalez will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rones slips a jab and a cross from Gonzalez.

Rones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Rones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gonzalez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gonzalez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Gonzalez in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
