NSC ADCC TRIALS 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Mike Schultz (ranked 19207 p4p, 550 weight class) and Franky Yip (ranked 2094 p4p, 254 weight class). Franky Yip told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 10 losses; Mike Schultz! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 2 losses; Franky Yip!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Yip has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schultz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Yip is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Schultz wants to control the pace but Yip is squirming around nicely.

Schultz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Yip is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Yip and Schultz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
