The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans tries to clinch but Fixit is having none of it.
And Fixit tries to counter it with a takedown but Evans pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Fixit shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Evans manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Evans has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fixit has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fixit has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Evans is trying to keep an underhook but Fixit manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Fixit throws a strike but Evans avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fixit throws a strike but Evans rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fixit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fixit connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Evans some visible discomfort.
Fixit is putting a hurting on Evans here, landing some big shots from side control.
Evans avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fixit.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fixit lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Fixit gets to his feet and stands over Evans, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Evans felt that one! Fixit unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Evans from any more punishment!
