Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alpha Omega (ranked 2143 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Francisco Carmo (ranked 4435 p4p, 0 weight class). Carmo has chosen Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black as his entrance music. Omega has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Alpha Omega looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega throws a jab but it's blocked by Carmo.
Omega will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Omega is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carmo.
Omega is breathing heavily.
A big left from Carmo misses.

Carmo feints and as Omega raises his hands in defense, Carmo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Carmo is standing up over Omega. Omega looks to escape but Carmo dives into side control.
Carmo advances nicely into full mount.
Carmo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carmo controlling the pace for now.
Omega is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Carmo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Carmo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Omega tries to buck Carmo off but Carmo takes his back!

Omega defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Carmo's arms.

Omega is trying to defend against the choke here but Carmo has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Carmo Tightens the hold and Omega taps out furiously! Carmo displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
