Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClean shoots in but no luck this time.

Cardoso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cardoso drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cardoso jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cardoso has gone for a leg lock! McClean slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cardoso's guard.
McClean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cardoso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cardoso will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Cardoso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John McClean dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


McClean goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A jab-cross combination lands for McClean and sends Cardoso crashing to the mat! McClean follows him down to the mat - Cardoso regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso has been cut.

McClean fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cardoso sprawls well initially but McClean persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McClean scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cardoso is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! McClean is tapping! Great win for Cardoso!
