Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Ocsar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Claudio Huaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Claudio Huaman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DJ Ocsar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Claudio Huaman!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Huaman.
Ocsar waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Huaman.
Ocsar tries for a takedown but Huaman circles away easily

and Huaman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A hook to the body from Ocsar.
Ocsar is working Huaman over against the cage.
Huaman is pushing Ocsar up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Huaman gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Ocsar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Huaman on the ground.
Huaman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ocsar defending well though.
Ocsar is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Huaman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ocsar defends it well.
Ocsar is looking to escape.

Huaman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Huaman trying to control but Ocsar is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ocsar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ocsar tries to hold on but Huaman pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ocsar wants to hold on but Huaman pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Huaman tries to control but Ocsar wriggling away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ocsar tries to hold on but Huaman pushes him away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Ocsar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

and Huaman counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ocsar!
Ocsar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Huaman breaks from Ocsar's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ocsar is trying to reverse the position but instead Huaman has taken his back - oops!
Ocsar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Ocsar trying to control but not successfully.

Huaman somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Huaman is riding his opponent, not letting Ocsar buck him off.

Ocsar defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
You can see the frustration on Ocsar's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Ocsar is trying to stand back up.
Ocsar is really stuck here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Huaman controls the position.
Ocsar avoids the strikes from Huaman.
Ocsar trying to control the action but Huaman just sinks the hooks in.
Huaman lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Ocsar hold on?!
Ocsar is in bad spot here.
Ocsar is trying to get back to his feet but Huaman has full control of the position and if anything, Ocsar has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Huaman slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Ocsar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Ocsar is really stuck here.
Ocsar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Huaman wants to control the position but Ocsar frees himself and scrambles - Huaman manages to regain control in side control.

Huaman swings around for an armbar but Ocsar sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Huaman's guard.
Huaman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Huaman is breathing heavily.
Ocsar scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Huaman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Ocsar stands up and waves to Huaman to follow him.
Huaman doesn't manage to clinch there - Ocsar circles away.
Huaman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ocsar keeps Huaman at a distance using the push kick.

Ocsar clinches.
Ocsar has Huaman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Huaman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ocsar fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DJ Ocsar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Huaman tries to pull guard but Ocsar won't allow it.
Huaman is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that DJ Ocsar will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Huaman tries to land a body kick

Huaman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ocsar wants to control from the top but Huaman keeps moving.

Huaman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ocsar trying to control but Huaman is working from the bottom.
Ocsar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Huaman's guard.

Huaman is trying to get back to full guard.
Ocsar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Huaman is looking to improve his position.

Ocsar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Huaman is just riding it out for now. Ocsar eventually gives up the hold.
Ocsar content to control rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ocsar is looking for a kimura here.
Huaman wants to control but Ocsar is keeping busy.
Huaman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Ocsar has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Ocsar controlling the pace for now.
Ocsar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ocsar avoids the attempt from Huaman to control.
Huaman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ocsar throwing shots but Huaman is blocking nicely.
Huaman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ocsar is working for a submission of some sort.
Huaman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Huaman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Huaman.
Ocsar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ocsar trying to control the position from guard on top but Huaman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight!
DJ Ocsar showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ocsar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
