Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kerry King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Ponka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esko Ponka will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kerry King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Esko Ponka!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ponka as he jumps to the side.

King looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ponka wants to stand back up but King manages to pass into side control.
Ponka pushes King away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, King gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

King is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ponka is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

King wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ponka, who protects the arm well.
Ponka wants to get back to his feet but King drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King is trying to get an arm triangle but Ponka is defending well.
Ponka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ponka wants to get back to his feet.

King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

King is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ponka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
King is breathing heavily.
Ponka is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but King has just dragged him back down to the mat.

King is working to tighten is grip on Ponka's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ponka has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but King is really squeezing tight and eventually Ponka passes out! King breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
