PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sarmat Tigiev (ranked 5586 p4p, 50 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 2150 p4p, 86 weight class). Nukem is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Here comes the boom. Duke Nukem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duke Nukem!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nukem turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nukem connects with a body shot.
Nukem uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tigiev.
Tigiev takes one on the button.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Tigiev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nukem.
A little jabbing left from Nukem on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Nukem keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tigiev.
A cross from Nukem lands.
Tigiev throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Tigiev walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Nukem rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Tigiev has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nukem misses with a two punch combination.
Nukem will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nukem throws a solid leg kick but Tigiev takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Nukem.
Tigiev jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tigiev throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nukem sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nukem avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nukem catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Tigiev stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Tigiev walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Tigiev is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Tigiev is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Nukem uses the oldest trick in the book to send Tigiev tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Nukem is absolutely delighted - when Tigiev wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
