Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean-Claude Marceau (ranked 76 p4p, 14 weight class) and Tank Ispa (ranked 106 p4p, 18 weight class). Tank Ispa has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean-Claude Marceau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Tank Ispa!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marceau gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ispa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ispa is stalling in the full guard.
Marceau managing to control the position.
Ispa wants to control from the top but Marceau keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ispa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Marceau haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ispa has gone for a leg lock! Marceau slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ispa's guard.

Ispa is trying to control the position but Marceau postures up.
Marceau is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Marceau got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ispa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marceau has managed to get both his arms back between Ispa's legs - danger averted.

Ispa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ispa is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Marceau controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Ispa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marceau defends well.
Ispa trying to keep a closed guard but Marceau is proving a slippery customer.

Ispa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marceau is aware though and is defending well.

Ispa working for a triangle but Marceau defends it easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marceau slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Ispa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marceau defends it easily.

Ispa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marceau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marceau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ispa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tank Ispa dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Marceau steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ispa.
Ispa bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Marceau's head backwards.
Marceau lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ispa misses with a hook to the body
and Marceau counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Ispa.
Ispa looks for a takedown but Marceau sprawls well.
Tank Ispa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ispa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ispa shoots for a takedown but Marceau saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marceau throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice jab there from Marceau.
Marceau digs a good body shot into Ispa's ribs.
Marceau lands the left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ispa thows a leg kick but Marceau checks it
and Marceau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ispa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Marceau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marceau lands a brutal uppercut that launches Ispa off his feet! Ispa tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jean-Claude Marceau!
Jean-Claude Marceau decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
