Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Deathstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Wilkie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Deathstar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Wilkie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathstar cracks Wilkie with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Deathstar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wilkie to stand back up!


Wilkie is rocked!


It looks like Chris Wilkie has been cut.
Deathstar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilkie but Wilkie pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wilkie is still on wobbly legs! Can Deathstar finish him?
Wilkie's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Wilkie duly obliges.
Wilkie seems to have recovered his senses.
Deathstar throws a head kick that misses.
Deathstar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilkie but Wilkie pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wilkie clinches with his opponent.
Deathstar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wilkie gets underhooks to prevent Deathstar's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andreas Deathstar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Deathstar stalling in the clinch but Wilkie improves position.

Wilkie jumps into guard, dragging Deathstar to the mat.

Wilkie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Deathstar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Deathstar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wilkie pulls Deathstar in close to prevent any damage.

Wilkie trying to keep a closed guard but Deathstar is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilkie is on top in guard.

Deathstar wants to stand and escape but Wilkie is having none of it.
Wilkie won't allow Deathstar to sweep him here.

Deathstar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Deathstar is breathing heavily.
Wilkie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Deathstar has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wilkie is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Deathstar.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Deathstar sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Wilkie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Deathstar defends it well.
Wilkie lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Wilkie seems to be looking for submissions.

Deathstar wants to control but Wilkie is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Wilkie is pressing down on Deathstar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Deathstar is holding on for now.
Wilkie is looking to take a break and control but Deathstar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Deathstar has a takedown stuffed.

Wilkie closes the distance and clinches.
Deathstar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wilkie gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Wilkie tries to stall but Deathstar uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Deathstar wants a takedown but no success here.

Wilkie throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Deathstar blocks it with crossed arms.

Deathstar jumps guard.
Deathstar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Deathstar looking for a guillotine here but Wilkie defends easily.

Wilkie is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Deathstar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Wilkie is looking to defend but Deathstar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Wilkie! Deathstar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Wilkie taps out and this one is all over!
